15" x 43" each These two hangings came to be as a commission work for the Chinese New Year celebration at Satin Moon Quilt Shop, which is located in Chinatown in Victoria, BC. The couplet was created in close collaboration with Chan-Hua Liu who researched the traditional form of poems for this event. It is to be read from right to left and means: "Spring flowers open and bring us riches. Bamboo heralds an auspicious year." Click on the images above to view a larger version.
