24" x 24" This was the challenge theme at the 2002 VQG Show. It starts with an 8-pointed star in the centre - one of the first blocks I learned to sew in 1991. It proceeds to stars in a variety of techniques that I used in my classes. The next round is foundation pieced - a technique that gained popularity in the second half of the nineties. The beads along the outside show the acceptance of embellishments in quilted projects.
